Founded in 1882 in Kobe, Japan, Nagasawa is a heritage stationery company known for writing tools and inks that celebrate local culture.
The Kobe INK Monogatari fountain pen ink line was developed by Nagasawa Bungu Center. Each ink is inspired by a specific place, landmark, or story from Kobe and its surrounding areas. The collection aims to capture the city’s atmosphere through colour, from the shades of the sea and mountains to the tones of historic streets and cultural sites. The series has become one of Japan’s most recognised regional ink collections.
Minatojima Island Blue is based on the deep blue of the sea around Kobe Airport and Port Island. The strong marine blue shade reflects the sunlit water seen from above the harbour.
