Handmade in Okayama by The Superior Labor, this Superior Labor Market Bag is sewn from durable, tightly woven Kurashiki canvas in a deep blue. Each piece is crafted by skilled artisans who cut, stitch, and finish every detail by hand.
Vegetable-tanned, undyed leather straps and brass fittings complete the construction, offering strength and elegance that grow richer with time. Inside, a canvas divider pocket keeps small items at hand, while the open top ties shut with natural leather. The blue canvas gains character with each use – designed to soften, crease, and tell your story. The Market Bag has become a cult favourite among stationery enthusiasts.
Founded by husband and wife craftspeople Makoto and Yoshimi Kawai in 2007, all of The Superior Labor’s products are made entirely by hand in a former schoolhouse-turned-workshop located in the mountains of Okayama Prefecture.
