Designed by Hannes Wettstein and first introduced in 2005, the LAMY Studio is a real modern classic in the fountain pen world and, to me, one of the greatest exemplars of LAMY’s functional minimalist design. With the appropriately named glossy Piano Black finish and two-tone 14k gold nib, this LAMY Studio is one truly built to last. A luxurious fountain pen hidden behind a veil of German minimalism.
Hannes Wettstein (1958 – 2008) had, like all truly great designers, his fingers in many pies. With work ranging from fine wristwatches for NOMOS, furniture for Cassina, lighting for Belux and of course fine writing instruments for LAMY Germany.
Each LAMY Studio fountain pen arrives in a LAMY presentation box and is compatible with LAMY T10 cartridges and the LAMY Z27 converter.
