Description
Chou Kuro is Platinum’s most concentrated black ink to date, developed to surpass even their well-known Carbon Black. Measured at 46.8% darker, this ink achieves an exceptional level of depth through the use of ultra-fine pigment particles, resulting in a dense neutral black with a matte appearance on the page.
As a pigment-based ink, Chou Kuro offers strong resistance to both water and light, making it particularly suitable for record keeping. Once dry, the ink remains stable and permanent, maintaining clarity and contrast over time.

Care and handling:
Pigment inks behave differently from dye-based inks and should be used with care. For best performance, Platinum recommends:
- Shaking the bottle gently before filling to redistribute pigment
- Using the ink regularly to reduce the risk of clogging
- Using broader nibs or dip pens
- Cleaning pens exclusively with distilled water
- Storing the ink away from heat, humidity, and direct sunlight
